I rue the day I couldn't get there for that show as I was stuck in the USA at the time. Looks like the Lightning Boys did a superb job on the day.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

74 Sqdn's vertical climbsinto the low cloudbase was awe inspiring. After they'd all vanished from sight you could hear their burners going for ages befere they turned back for the low fly by.

Speaking with a guy at work who told me his scariest flight was in a Lightning 2-seater as a 22 year old University Air Squadron cadet.

He recalls the beast reaching Mach 2.
