People seemed to like my sub cruisers and USN 1928 Destroyer Leader soe here are some others:

German Projekt 50 Steam Powered U-Cruiser 1918

US rebuild of the Wickes class 4 stacker with all guns center line. This is from a drawing in Lenton's "American Fleet and Escort Destroyers" Vol 1

Italian 700 Class Pocket Battleship

Proposed modernization of USN Armored cruiser Seattle. Per Friedman's book on cruiser design, this involved new power plant, four funnels reduced to three and secondary armament reduced. I took the design to 1942.

US sub cruiser with 4-12" guns. Drawing in Friedman's book on Sub design.

MY favorite- the USN Battlescout USS Reprisal. This is based upon a Springsharp done by the USN in WW1 showing a fast cruiser with 8-10" guns.
Again, in 1942 rig.

Italian UP-41 Battleship.

Italian Bonfiglietti carrier design.

And the craziest... US 1933 battleship concept with 20-12" guns. Again, from Friedman's book on Battleship Design.

Oh to many to pick a favourite

However the sub-cruiser idea has always fascinated me so it's nice to see those. And the USN Seattle and 20 x 12" are fascinating for different reasons.

Nice ! I too like the sub cruisers....interesting stuff. I like the Italian boats as well, some flair to keep them interesting ! The 20 12" would be quite the sight and sound !

I've thought about an updated USS Rochester, perhaps as the core of a pre-WW2 free Philippines Navy. The Seattle is a good inspiration.
