Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

It summarises it up quite well doesn't it.

Dread to think what the World War Two would be like, or any other recent/modern conflict.......

Maggie T walks into a bar! :o

That needs to be made into a full comedy sketch.

It's something that I've always thought, looking at conflicts wether on the pub scale or global.  The same dynamics are at play, just on a larger scale.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

My analogy always tends that World War I was just one big family fight.

Well it was, essentially.  All the Royal Houses were related to one another, thanks to Viccies' brood.   Problem was, as in most families, the feuding can and was far more bitter than if they'd just been separate national houses.   No one liked Nickie overly much, no one liked Willie at all and everybody thought the Sax-Coberg-Gothas in London were insufferable as the senior branch of the family...
