Hello!

It's a long time since I had a WIP here. I saw that there is a topic about Skorpion so I couldn't resist to start a Skorpion WIP here. I had build one of the few versions of PZL-230 and I think time has come for another :) I mean this one:

(I borrowed photo above from topic about Skorpion-I hope it's allowed)

I'm going to bash Mastercraft F-16, Monogram A-10 and Italeri F-22. And of course a lot of putty and styrene sheets:) I think cockpit will be extracted from A-10 or F-22 and ejection seat from F-16 or A-10 (better details). First photos today in the evening :)

Courageous project - had an eye on this one, too.

Go ahead, looking forward to see what becomes of it.

I hope I'll give it at least a good try:)
There is a progress finally. Because my styrene supply is almost empty, I have to wait 'till wednesday to buy some. Also, I'll get then my last parts donor - A-10. Without A-10 engines , I can't correctly adjust width of the rear section of fuselage. So I have to keep calm
I had a plan to use whole front section of F-22 as a Skorpion fuselage but F-22 proved to be too big so I got back to F-16 and began a surgery. Today, despite of low supply os styrene, I managed to make basic shapes of wings and canards. As a tailplanes, I' ll use horizontal stabilizers from F-22. Photo below:

That's all for now :)

Good stuff!

This would look cool even with the original F-16 engine.
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

This is gonna be good ! Nice start

I hope so :)

Well, my Skorpion is finally taking shape. I just wonder if wings aren't too small. I hit upon an idea- why not try to fit and reshape F-16 wings. On the photos Skorpion with first version wings and another shot with F-16 wings. Which version is better? Now I'm trying to fit engines....Ehh

This is looking really good! I think I would go with the second version without the F-16 wings. It will be more work but cooler.

That's gonna be a lot of lift ! I bet you could put 3 million pylons under there ! Well, maybe not 3 million.....

Second version for me as well, but it's your model
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hello!

I've decided to go with reshaped F-16 wings. I've made original , styrene wings too small so now I have more work...Anyway, engines are temporarily fitted so I could adjust elevation and shape of tailplanes.

You're absolutely right.I've managed to make a caisson (almost) like on original model. Amount of filler is visible:)
