Grazie Paolo.

Yes, it´s a whif. The real aircraft was the Ambrosini SAI SS 4 (canard aircraft with push piston engine).

I made another "whif" with the original kit: "The Ambrosini SAI SS4 I (idrovolante). Schneider cup of 1939":

Ciao

Wonderful floatplane, so unusual...

Old Wombat

Nice little float plane, Pacopepe!

However, to my eye (OK, I wear multi-focal spectacles) the floats look too large. I think the main float could be reduced by about 1/3 along both the vertical & horizontal axes, while the stabilising floats could be reduced to about 1/2 the current size (width?).

But that's a personal thing. ;)
Has a life outside of What-If & wishes it would stop interfering!

At last finished.

Saab J 21 N. Bri. Juutilainen. Utti, Finland, spring of 1946.

TallEng

Indeed  and finished very nicely too
But what is that R2D2 like dome behind the cockpit?

Regards
Keith
The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

It's an R2D2 dome obviously.........  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

wonderful idrovolante !

zenrat

Very good.
Given it will be operating in the high Northern latitudes the dome is obviously to enable an observer to keep good eye out for a sleigh and 8 reindeer so as to avoid collision...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Kind of

Really nice camo.
Whatever.

NARSES2

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Dizzyfugu

Like it too - looks much better than I expected!

Which colors/tones did you use? It seems as if the blue background causes a lot of reflection and glow, so that the model looks a bit Blue-ish? The tones are hard to tell - looks like a three-tone scheme in dark green, grey and some light blue gray (RLM 65 or 76, maybe?).

PACOPEPE

Thanks to all.

The colours: above a base on RLM 74 y 75, spots on RLM 76; simulating the snowbreak camo.

All the best,

Note: The R2D2 unit, is the cabin of radar operator.

Dizzyfugu

Cool! Thank you very much for the info!
