My specialty is never completing my builds. I like to cut, glue, even PSR, but not painting, and paints don't like me... :-\
Hope that posting a new idea at the beginning will help me to finish the model.
Found in a job lot: an incomplete wreck of an 1/50 ancient Heller Frelon:

Will become something different, and in perfect 1/87 scale.  ;D
Now I am already at the early stages of butcherization  ;D

Will move to the "projects" section when I am a little bit more advanced and have found a name for "it".
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Captain Canada

Butcherization eh ? I like it ! The Super Frelon is a kit I'd like to build...in 144th or 72nd scale tho !

CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

Long Live the Commonwealth !!!
Vive les Canadiens !
Where's my beer ?

Jkob

Captain Canada, if you want the Super Frelon in 1/72, Mach2 (mach2.fr) makes it.

Good luck with your project loupgarou

Hi,
Mine isn't the SUPER Frelon, it's the Frelon prototype, a VERY old Heller kit.
Heller does the Super in 1/35, AND in the Cadet series, sold as 1/100, but much smaller, nearer 1/144, maybe could interest you.

Didn't know there was a diference ! Off to googles.....

As i said, i am a very slow builder.
At least this project has been better defined and most parts found.
It is, in perfect 1/87 scale, an heavy russian transport, the Sukhoi Su-10 (seen in Russian secret projects, IIRC).
Also the tail will fold for easy loading/unloading.

For the moment, the trasparent part for the cockpit is from a Matchbox Wellington, the body still needs to be cut out.

Captain Canada

Now that I like ! Definately 'something' !

This deserves to be built! I, for one, will be watching this project closely.
Will it be jet or prop?

Prop, around 1950. Still have to find some correct size radials, my parts stash isn't very big.  :-\

Try Quickboost. They have a lot of different upgrade parts.

Thanks for the interest. <_<
I did some detail work, cut out the windscreen emplacement, the slots for wings and tail, installed a cabin floor and rear wall, hinges for swinging tail and nose... then real life intruded
Now I am in my OTHER base, won't be back to first base till the beginning of november, hop to finish it before Christmas.  ;D
Problem is, I have a lot of started builds, piled up, and when I arrive at the painting stage, I have an artist's block
Have to re-learn the art of airbrushing.

I know exactly how you feel. I also have several projects laying around waiting for paint.
