That's because it WAS mid-30s!  ;D

Looking at a plan view, the Hendon had HUGE wings!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

One of the layouts to B.19/27, spec. led to the Heyford, was a normal biplane.

You could be checking a LONG time, I've only ever seen one of those kits ever, and one built up too. A pity really as it's a nice looking aircraft.
