Got a tricky question.  For the Bus (1:1 scale), I'm planning to paint it RAF Azure Blue, under a white roof.  However, all I have on hand is white and royal blue.  I mixed up a batch, and the sample I painted looks far too light-

Unfortunately, I think the mixture formula I had was wrong.  Any suggestions, gents?

According to Humbrol's 'The Colour System' book, Azure Blue is 49 parts H34, 10 parts H25 and 1 part H33.  H34 is matt (flat) white, H25 is matt (flat) blue and H33 is matt (flat) black.

You could mix up a small batch of these Humbrol colours, paint a square of styrene card and then take it down to your local paint store and have them colour match it.
