lets start this off with a huge thankyou!!!!! to our kitnut617.

who it has to be said has provided me with some 1/48 scale F-18 u/c legs to chop up to fit for the second of the RAF HS-125 elint models I am doing.

these will look totally different to what they are supposed to on the 1/48 F-18 a/c, as i'll be straightening them out a bit.  :o

kitnut617's box he sent some spares in, has had a long journey to reach me. he bought something from a model shop in New Zealand to send to him in
Canada and now its in the UK.  ;D where's it going next? I have no idea!

Glad it got to you safe and sound Trevor and one good turn deserves another (Trevor had previously, and very kindly, sent me a Tornado F.2 nose for my RAF F-15 project) -- and if you're looking for anything else, drop me a line and I'll see if I can help out.

I'd not noticed that about the box the bits went in, I just grabbed one out of the selection I have kept for such purposes.

I fancy a night out with Penelope Cruz.  Can you help out?

I haven't done that much modelling this week as I have a university essay due in next week but the essay is 75% done and i'm happy i'll meet the
deadline.

however, uni' work doesn't stop the modelling planning going on. you see thinking about what to wiff and how is a useful bit of escapism when
having to wade thru various lengthy bits of government legislation and guidance on childcare and education, whether as a download or printed out.  :banghead:

its rather good to see that the 1/48 u/c legs that kitnut617 sent me have the main u/c legs as separate halves. this means when I've decided how they get
chopped up italeri's mould designers have made it very easy to insert brass rod to reinforce the finished item.

and as for the idea of sending '617's box on the next leg of its global tour..... i'll think long and hard and laugh and only then decide!  ;D

kitbasher! shame on you-you get the most awkward ATC shift I can think of.....  ;D but its a very good idea. i'd be happy enough if the actress that plays
captain janeway from star trek - voyager was to show up!  instead of Penelope cruz, but that's just my wishful thinking.

Great! I'll volunteer to look after Penelope rather than see the poor girl left on her own.... ;)

That'd be Kate Mulgrew then.  ;D

that's just as well as kitbasher could have ended up doing a ATC shift at Fitton. which is the mythical airport where 'gertie' the biz-jet in the BBC Radio 4
comedy series 'Cabin Pressure' is often hangered. don't think he'd like it as Fitton is one crazy airfield,  ;D ;D ;D but I do! anyhow..... the radio series that is.

hmm took a further delivery of 1/144 RR Conways from a source in the borderlands of England and Wales a day or two back,  ;D

and at this point, its not nurse, where's the darkened room and the unobtainium choccy bar? so much as where can I laugh loudly
at the gags on this 'ere modelling site, I can't here in the uni' library. no gags about students as I know most of them. its been a
stressful last few weeks.

thank goodness the IPMS Bolton show is on sunday.
