cheers for the pointers Geoff!  ;D

Well it allows you to fit it out with suitable fixtures, fittings and Armament for the Modern Navy as opposed to scraps from the few WW2 main stream kits

hmm a big complaint I get is never having photos in my blog. well here's one that our Nick took at Woolwich last Saturday and here I am standing next the one and only green mace gun. which has to be one of wiffdom's holy grails is it not.

observe the bag i'm holding in my left hand. one airfix 1/72 lifeboat to my stash courtesy Nick. the wee triangle on the bag in my right hand is a 33 sqn patch.

it was a good day and the precursor to a lousy week. the patch survives but the bag was condemmed.

the spitfire I added to the stash that weekend was back at my uncle's place. suggestions please as for whiffing it are welcome!

hmm, if you look at my signature below you will see a link to the charity beanstalk for which I have been a volunteer for now for a few months over four years.

today I had my annual assessment and observation and got a good rating with a written evaluation from my supervisor to follow in a few days time in the post.

this has cheered me up no end after the farce that was much of last week.

might even do some modelling when I get in tonight.  :o

Nice ones Howard.

You know you can post the pics ?

Just copy the IMG URL from the right hand side of the picture and paste it here and voila  ;D

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

told you I was clueless in Coventry where PC's are concerned.

still I do think its a lovely model even if I say so myself.

off for the weekend to Nottingham....

anyhow.

the props are on my RAF AC-47K and that's only as a get me a 'once only flight to Hinckley on sunday' basis as I discovered that the port Bristol Hercules radial is at least 2 degrees off true alignment, only the co-pilot would fly the thing even at 1/72 scale. still as Hinckley has its first ever visit by the wiff SIG
this year, I almost dread to think what surprises may come forth from a certain bench in Northamptonshire, the forest of dean and elsewhere in the midlands.

see you sunday.  ;D

things have been well I am glad that the easter break from uni' has been a long one, [the school hols are shorter!] but all good things come to an end so its back to lectures and school next week.

models?

well. I am busy refurb'ing some for the stand at the MK show [for which I have a chit to excuse me from, btw, :) ] and am planning others.

nothing new has been started but plenty is being planned.

well here's how it is now. the exams are done and only the results are awaited so I can model again and am. its now just 17 or 18 sleeps to the RAF event of 2015. the 100th Anniversary Open Day at RAF Northolt on June 13th, 2015. west London will never be the same again and I get to visit one of the most historic RAF stations that there is [even including Marham, Wittering, Mildenhall, Fairford, North Coates, Leuchars, Lossiemouth and Chivenor, lets not forget Staxton Wold while we are at it either] as I wonder if it is the only BoB airfield still active as a RAF flying station, but I may be wrong especially if Kenley is still used for ATC gliders.

am I excited about going to Northolt?

 YES I AM!  [/b]

as for the models. well I have a 1417 flight harrier T2 on the go. and a RF-101G in euro one markings.... to name but a few.

however most of all I would like to thank lots of wiffers far and wide for all your kind thoughts and friendship in the last year. at times my first year at warwick has been like a lengthy SERE exercise but I am still here and relaxing greatly at the start of halfterm. Rheged will know the feeling as will Radish! :)
