LOVE that!

Did the tiger decals come from an Italian Starfighter or Tornado scheme?

For those that need to know...
The Decals/Transfers are from Cutting Edge 72-042 For the F-104 Starfighter
http://modelingmadness.com/scott/decals/ce/ce72042.htm
I think they're out of production now.
However there are more than enough special schemes that a StarFighter Lightning
Could appear in
The Canadian Red Indian Scheme for example.... Or an overall Green RCAF machine,
Belgian USAF style..... Or what about Japanese?

Keith
The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

I have one started somewhere that is to end up as Japanese, using the Hasegawa F6 for the build though. Must dig it out..... would not take more than a month or two at my build rate  ;D

That I like. Love what you've done to the belly tank and the Sparrows make for a nice change.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The Italians specialised in 'Run Out' schemes for their F-104Ss, almost every aircraft had its own scheme so there's bags of choice there.

Not sure if it was the Italian's, Dutch or Belgians but someone painted one side of an F.104 in a special scheme whilst leaving the other side in the standard finish to get around a ban on "special finishes". Whenever a senior officer visited it was parked against a wall with the standard side visable. They got caught out eventually I think

I think that was the Italians, yes.

The Hon Sec of my club, Hilton Jones, built every one of those special Italian F-104 schemes and I can recall that one.

Wow. Amazing! Takes me back, the first ever model i built was a Lightning, with my dad in a shed :D

This is stunning, love the scheme! Keep it up
To conform is to be boring. Thats why i do whatever the hell i want with colour schemes ;)
