I do like the TSR2 with the glass nose and gun turret.

That'll be gun turretS, in the plural!

The story is here :-

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Yep, I didn't see the tail gunner.
I should have guessed whose it was...
Good job.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The small scale German armour was mine - early Bundesheer. I have a backstory if anyone is interested. The SU-85 was a Soviet Finland one. Can't be using Sturmies if allied to the CCCP

Yup

Ok- from memory, and correct me if I get the dates wrong please.

In OTL the Federal Republic of Germany was set up in 1949 after a lot of delaying by some of the allies. In June 1951 the boarder guards were formed (BGS). The old pictures of them up till 1956 looks like the old German army on the march, with American Garands replacing the Mauser K98s in the mid fifties.
The Army was set up in 1955. They had what appear to be German uniforms with US helmets and weapons and vehicles.
OK my idea was to backdate this process a few years with the government set up about'46 - '47 and the BGS in '47 as well. With the Berlin airlift and border crisis the allied military decided to use the BSG to man the Inner German Border, with UK and US forces acting as "backup"to avoid direct confrontation with the Russians.
Following a series of incidents that escalated up to Russian forces using heavy weapons against a number of border patrols it was decided the BSG needed a heavy support company. A small number of old assault guns were refurbished and issued to them. This gave me the chance of building a SturmHb based on a wargames model, and a Stug III with IR light in the Panzerjager role. They do have later army ID plates. but I decided the BSG got the same type of number plate.
The Bundeswehr was set up in 1949. The initial equipment being mainly US with the exception of some WW2 armour, with France supplying Panthers, and Finland a few Panzer IVs for training after they were replaced by Shermans and M-10 MGCs.
A number of the Panthers were converted to engineer and recovery vehicles when they were replaced. I built both of these, but I am not sure if Martin has pics of them?

OK that's the start - it's a bit thin and the availability of the old German equipment is quite unlikely except for the French Panthers. I have an idea for a few more builds including a MGC and a Chieftan in place of the Leo 1s.
My other idea is although a lot of M-113s were used they never had a IFV version, instead going for the Marder. As the Belgians bought the Jagdpanzer off Germany. I decided the Germans had the Belgian designed M-113 IFV. (which strangly enough I have in my stash!)

Absolutely bostin.....

Would Viking armour have mechanised axes? :-\
