I've tried most meats in my time and always come back to goat and lamb. I'm almost totally carnivorous and my wife totally vegetarian...meal times get very interesting. There's hypocrisy as I can't stand the sight of bones or skin. There was or still is a superb restaurant in Nairobi I used to go to a lot and you could order meat from almost any animal, as long as it had been culled etc.

The description of the camel walking in "Pyramids" always reminds me of those superb cartoons by Chuck Jones, eg the bull charging with impressions of multiple hooves flying in all directions ;D.

Went to a fantastic pub nearr Durham which had a huge menu that covered the walls of the restaurant. Practically everything you could think of to eat for all tastes.
I chose an African game stew that included springbok, wildebeest, ostrich, chicken, crocodile all in a rich gravy and a whole load of veg on the side. Tasted beautiful!

Darn it, I've been up that way for the last few days! What was the place called please Nick?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

This army doesn't march on it's stomach.  It rolls along on it instead.

Regarding vegetables.
Mrs z and I are keen on "heritage" veggies.  Particularly carrots and tomatoes.  It's amazing how flavoursome they are compared to the bland, tasteless supermarket varieties.
We grew Black Russian toms last year which always put me in mind of the Blackadder Spanish Infanta episode (which codpiece sir?  The Black Russian I think Baldrick).  They were great.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Turns it wasn't Durham   It was the Sutton Arms, Darlington Road, Elton, Stockton on Tees, TS21 1AH.
Now I was there for a family meal about 10+ years ago and it may have changed since. Looking at online reviews it seems a bit hit and miss on quality nowadays...

The Gatling division was excused from hunting duties after the other troopers complained of always have mince for tea.
