Wow, both of those look pretty awesome. I'd not be likely to buy a Magister kit, but the Lightning book would definitely be a 'possible'.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Those would really improve the wee model eh ? Be a lot of work but probably worth it, especially if you were building a display piece, as opposed to one you'd fly around the basement

^ That's really neat. And allows you to build a real world helo that will keep people guessing whether it's a whif or not.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

DACO has announced, on theyre facebook page, that they completed the development fo a new decal sheet for the  Netherlands Air Force T/F-104G Starfighter. no news on scales, but i suspect the usual 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 releases of this set (and perhaps a 1/144 version aswell, they did do with with the Belgian and German Starfighter sheets).

regarding the 1/32 Fouga Magister kit, there has been little news, development has been completed, but the release is delayed as they are not yet done designing the instruction booklet (which is proving to be the hardest part) and the decal design.
