Warrior with a Royal Ordnance 120mm breech-loading mortar turret.

Far from beimg a paper project, this turret was actually produced in small numbers for the Saudi Arabian National Guard, mounted on MOWAG Piranahas that were built in the UK (at Telford). Presumably this was to avoid Swiss export laws, in the same way that Cardoen in Chile builds Piranhas for 'problematic' South American customers...

GKN produced a low-profile version of the Warrior that was both lower and narrower so that it could fit in a C-130. The second pic shows the low profile hull rather better, fitted with an ADATS turret (which rather defeats the object of the exercise...):

This is a model of the Warrior 2000 fitted with a different 105mm L7 turret, this one by LMT. I believe this is the same turret as proposed for export versions of the South African Rooikat armoured car.
