Finally got round to finishing this. Revell 1/72 F-16B with my very own conversion to turn it into an F-16/79 and decals by Vingtor.

This will no doubt be the first of many.

Well done Chris the F-16 beta version for lower ranked allies. Nice work on producing a conversion and a great build

Cheers guys.

I had noticed that I had missed the Sidewinders off the aircraft, so had a hunt round and found the correct version in a Hasegawa weapons set.

Just painting those up before adding them.

Got any conversions to spare, Chris?  I can think of a few operators!

Nice work mate.

Cheers mate.

I have only run a small batch off so far and need to get hold of some more resin but will be producing more in the next few months as I still don't have enough to do the 10 or so I have planned.

Nice job Chris!  Is the conversion the intake and jet pipe, are there any more subtle differences?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Chris Payne

The conversion is just the intake and jetpipe.

If you are wanting to do the actual '79' then the seats also need replacing as the '79' was converted from one of the FSD aircraft and they were fitted with Stencel S-III-S seats.

Thanks Chris.  I'm thinking of robbing the tailpipe from an F-16 for another project, so I was thinking about what I might replace with it, and the F-16/79 seemed a natural.

Nice to see one 16/79 finally built! Turned out very well. I got that sheet from Vingtor too ('cause of the protoypes). And as you mentioned....for sure the first of many!

Great job
