I have been inspired also by miscellaneous sources for F-16 profiles: I show a very ugly one then a very pretty one <_<

Have you tried combining F-16 with Convair XF2Y-1 Sea Dart?

Keeping the engine and especially the intake out of the water is probably the tricky part.

Don't be afraid of water splashes: in a whif world there may be none... ;)

After the profile inspired by the too serious F2Y, let me be inspired by what-if dreams, contaminating the F-16 ;)

And now a family of twin-jet F-16s: ;)
Of course, this big family included single-fin versions: <_<

This front view has many possible explanations, twin-boom or not:  <_<

The incredible SAAB Lx is a new Unicraft model 1/72 (http://www.unicraft.biz/on/saab-lx/saab-lx.htm ) and it inspired me for such a F-16:  <_<

Do you know what? In F-111 (Aardvark), F was meaning Fighter: this is the right size for a fighter. So the tiny YF-16 was completely ridiculous and a huge enlargement must have occurred for the mass produced version:  <_<

The French did build a bigger Mirage III. They put a second engine in it, though....

Tophe

Yes, maybe the F-16AV was twin-engine and the F-16AV-2 had 3 engines, we do not know from the profile only... ;)

I have been inspired by a McDonnell Douglas project this time:  <_<
