Uh? I did not know this Feri intake name and Google does not explain.  
Unless this is a wrong spelling for ferry boat intake, yes, like a big opening for many cars to come in...

Thanks! The "shark mouth" principle is that a fighter wants to look evil, frightening, while it is true I prefer the smiling nice way, of hugs and kisses...

It might be 'Ferri', yes.

It's the forward facing intake, similar to the wing root intakes on an F-105 Thunderchief.
