For gold colored foil find someone that smokes a brand of cigarettes that come with the gold foil in the pack like Camels. It's nicely textured and might be just the ticket.

But Cadbury's Bourneville chocolate tastes LOTS better, and has textured gold foil too.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Chocolate shounds better than cigarettes....  ;D
But I don't think we have this brand here. So I stick with painted aluminium foil:

Captain Canada

I had better go looking for some 'supplies' as well.

The lander is looking good (I nearly put that it's looking "goo" </KSPMODE> ) : the foil really suits it.

Btw, my attempt in Kerbal space Program ended in quite a failure. The Moon Ship was able to take of and return to Kerbin, but there it desintegrated while doing a athmosphere breaking manvouver. So I had to do what my Kerbals have to to quite often - send out a rescue mission....  ;D ;D ;D

Familiar..... Sometimes I have to reset my one saved game (all you get in the demo) becuase there are so many broken bits on the Mun that I can't navigate properly...  I HAVE done a couple of rescue missions to the Mun though, which is not straight-forward given the selection of parts in the demo.

I never regreded that I got the full verison - on a Steam sale for about 13-14€. If I see this compared with the time I spend with KSP, some good invested money :)
Currently trying to set up a base on Mun with a differernt approach this time. And a rescue team is on standby....  ;D

The Moon Ship is now completed:

Jeb, Bob and Bill are on their EVA mission:

This is a re-release of an old Lindberg kit - consisting of 41 parts as the box says. Build mainly OOB, I added some "gold foil" and the US flag to it. The three astonauts (or maybe they are Kerbolnauts, who knows  ;D) were also part of hte model. Everything is airbrushed with Revell Aqua Color.

Captain Canada

That turned out great ! Nice to see the Astronauts to lend it some scale. The 'this end up' sticker will also come in handy for the movers lol. Great job on an interesting piece !
