Yup thats right ... me again and because of a comment and a very interesting idea from Mossie this is now going to happen ,,here is what i am using for this ...
One Revell GTK Boxer ..

And one Tamiya Leo2A6 ,,well the remains of one anyway and yes i will be using the turret on this too but only some mods .

There will be alot more pretty soon ..i will starting on this the moment i have finished writing this .

Update time ... ok here's how i am building it ...
First i cut up the Leo2 chassis ..removing the centre section and the track guards ..clean up the cuts and they are pretty much ready .

Next i built the Boxer chassis ,,this is straight from the box ,,details are removed from the sides where the suspension is mounted ,,this is so that it's all flat and makes everything nice and straight.

Two strips of 2mm thick sheet styrene are cut and glued against the inside edge of the Boxer chassis ,,this gives the right height for the Leo's chassis parts ,,then everything is measured to keep it all square,,the measurement should be 90mm to the outside edge of the road wheels and its all exactly the same,,so i did something right  <_<

More to follow soon as this is dry and ready to meld everything together .

Thats the danger of the site, a passing comment or suggestion triggers the mojo prompting an immediate urge to build it  ;D

Quick question shouldn't the drive sprockets be at the fwd end where the engine is ?

Thorvic mate you couldnt be more right ,,,hell i get myself into alot of trouble cause of other peoples thoughts or comments and i hope they keep coming  ;D

Nice pick up on the drive sprocket location and heres way its there ,,,the Boxer has a modular construction, the entire rear can be removed and a new one placed in the rear section ,,so it has a very deep floor which covers the diffs for the drive line ,,so using a step down reduction drive hub it would link up with a centre diff linked to the main engine.
Looking at the rear of this thing i am pretty sure there would be quite enough space for this to work and its German so ya it vill work  ;D

With tracks? I suppose it'd be one way to get past, or over,  those pesky Audi TTs..........  ;D

Whoops, me and my big mouth!!!   In my minds eye, it'll have a Merkava kind of of vibe to it due to that long slopping hull, looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Well been slowly messing around with the boxer and managed to get some things done .
First i made a start on the new roof for the rear section,,nothing hard there ..just made a new plate ..

Also started reworking the turret ...now its a full blown Leo2A6 turret so this puppy weights in at 20+tons ,,now i gotta lighten it up a wee bit cause there is no way this machine could handle that sort of weight.
First off remove the front armour and cut its butt off and cover it up ..since this model has quite a few bit missing i had to replace the loaders hatch and i thought ..well this is part Boxer so i used the commanders hatch off that and gave it a muzzle brake too .. lets see who can guess which tank that came off
This is what it looks like so far ...

Now the real annoying stuff ..sealing up all the holes in the chassis ,,its slow going but its slowly getting there ,,

More to follow soon guys
