although the tsr2 designs looked promising the uk government decided not to persue the project before it got off the drawing board due to cost.
the project was resurected as a joint anglo french agreement but the french were unhappy with the small wing area and demanded a redesign in this area.
unsurprisingly they put forward a delta design which was eventually accepted by the british under the proviso that they keep the blown control surface. the upshot of this was extremely short take off roll and larger payload and fuel.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

too old for a paper round, too young for me pensions, dammit, back to work then!

Vigi wings look like broad chord TSR2 wings though.

But if the ones shown were a 1/48 against a 1/72 fuselage?

spuds the closest
the tsr2 kit is 72 scale and the wings are unaltered (and not french or canadian)

Delta Dart wings ?

i did look at 102/106 wings but id lose too much area due to the shape of the fuselages (tsr2 is nearly square whereas the 102 tapers off quite a bit)

Comrades, the wings are from a MiG-21. Not sure of the scale as I think that they would still be quite small in 1/48 - maybe 1/32?

darthspud

Was about to ask if the wings are the same scale
