Nice set of pics ! Love that big Barracuda model on the floor. The rotor set looks pretty nice ! Is that a Wasp ? What are you going to do with them, hange them on the wall ?

Thanks Jake, I'm going to make them into shelves, the stand will go up through the hub centre so I can put my models on them.  ;) ;D

And the RW Barracuda cowling just above it ---  ;)  all nicely restored --- does this mean there's a completely restored Barracuda in the works ?

I'm not sure you'd call it restore, more like build a new one from the state of the original parts they had on the floor.  :-\

They've had some bits of a 'cuda for a few years. The cowling and forward fuselage used to be in the main hall, almost opposite the Albacore, logically.

Yeap apprentices refurbished the fwd fuselage some years ago, they have now started a new project with a North East restoration group to rebuild an aircraft from the parts they have collected. I think they proved themselves rebuilding the tail plane and have the job to do the rest of it .

I think they'd  already proved themselves before that:

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Anyone who could even THINK about making a facsimile of the complication that's a 'cuda's wing has my greatest admiration!
