I would like to know where the Phantom FG1 XV586 is, its the one they got back from the RAF and it was repainted back to its 892 markings as per their final deployment on Ark in 78.
Its possible she doesnt belong to the museum, but to the station it self. A small number of Phantoms have survived that way.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Not long now, got myself a new canera and all ready to go. Calling in at Old Warden on the way home on the Sunday to collect two Westland Scout/Wasp tail rotor assemblies.  ;D

Would that be Westland built ones, or Fujimi or Airfix ones? And if the former, why?

I've just looked up Plastic Pastimes and they closed down in July this year, according to the Airfix Tribute Forum.

If I have the Friday and Saturday off work (still to be confirmed) I want to see the Royal Signals Museum at Blandford Forum or the Keep Military Museum in Dorchester, definitely the Tank Museum and maybe go on the Swanage Steam Railway on Saturday.

Well, my exam date has been pushed back a month due to the testing centre being re-located so this date is now free. I may well indulge and pay a visit.

And the RW Barracuda cowling just above it ---  ;)  all nicely restored --- does this mean there's a completely restored Barracuda in the works ?
