I bring news of great things happening in the normally quite and sleepy town of Leongatha, where certain youths have thrown off the characteristic somnambulism of the area, cast aside all thoughts of fleeting glory on the sporting field, and settled down to learn a key life skill; miniature painting. Here then is a link to the results of this great experiment, where you may also choose to vote for the miniature which you regard as being of the highest quality in it's vibrant decoration.

These figures will soon be pressed into service as the personal avatars of certain young persons in a mighty arena death match held on a weekly basis. Thosed who did not bother to come along to paint shall be forced to use figures I painted last night while visiting Gregtopia, including the Fabulous Piggy and Flamboyant Vultureman...

Cool ! I tried to vote but when I open the link I get red x's. I thjink it's the internet connection here at the hotel tho, this part of the world gets busy on a Friday night. I'll come check in later and let you know what I think !

PS-always been a fan of the word somnambulance

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

all good early attempts PW.
One question though ( does best Colombo impression) are those Eurekas Grandbrettanian beast warriors in 28mm?
as if they are I may be having to get some.

Those are indeed Eureka's Hawkmoon range. I've been picking up bits of that range for a while now (even before they were released - it helps to actually be able to go to Eureka's store front because they will often sell pre-release test figures and such) and when the kids voted to paint fantasy villains, and I knew I could get a 'corruptor of young minds' discount from Nic I choose them.
I tried to avoid some of the sculpts for this project, the ones obviously firing those laser lance things etc. because I don't want to have to make rules for fantasy laser cannons... there's also a few cab models now.

  thank you very much.
Ill have to keep my eyes open then,
( range as cross bow, slightly stronger, and will overheat and stop working or explode on a 1 to hit)  Flame lances were rather dangerous in hawkmoon if I remember correctly   ;D

It can now be revealed that Entry No. 1; painted by Mr. R. Smith of the Shire of South Gippsland was victorious in this contest, and took as his reward a minotaur, manufactured in China by messers. Reaper and Bones, along with certain paints.
