Here are some snaps of the finished Huma Me P1106.

The model was built O.O.B. and painted with Xtracolor and Model Master enamels. The kits decals were in rather poor condition so I used some decals from my spares box to mark my model with.

This model is in the markings of the Me P1106 Galland flew after he recovered from his knee injury while flying a Me 262 with JV 44, Galland left JV 44 to command JG 26 that was recently equipped with the latest Messerschmitt jet.

Gondor

As always that's a fantastic job Matrixone. What's the aircraft in the background with the "T" tail?

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

matrixone

Thank you Gondor!

The prop aircraft with the T-tail is the He 100H-1, the He 100H was the high altitude version of the He 100. ;)

Love the look of that, specially the B&W pic in the hanger.

It looks as if it accelerated so fast that the cockpit slid all the way aft!  ;D

In reallity I bet it'd have been a real bitch to fly from way back there.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Whatever.

matrixone

Thanks Kit and Comrade Harps!

Kit,
It must have been difficult to aim the weapons from back there, also the early jet engines were not all that reliable so flame outs could happen when you least expect it...imagine trying to do a dead stick landing in this thing.

Great job! Really like the paint. Agree the cockpit position left a lot to be desired.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Another marvellous build.

Love the shot with the He 100H-1 in the background
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Only one word to describe this and that is superb!!!! Gotta be one of your best Matrix. A hell of a job, and the precise execution of a projet we've come to see from you. Nice one.

Many thanks for the kind words!
