hI,
Would anyone have a set of main wing flaps for an Airfix Halifax 1/72 scale?

Have tried Airfix, but no joy thus far.
Happy to pay reasonable cost or swap for odds and ends as reqd.

The Airfix Halifax doesn't come with separate flaps DP ---

If they're 'elevators' on the wings they're actually ailerons.

Flaps tend to be mounted inboard, from the fuselage outward, whereas ailerons are almost always mounted out toward the wingtips.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

 , I sit corrected Kit.
It's been a long week and I'm beerless
mea culpa.

The kit is an early 70's issue and is missing the two parts that make up the aileron on one of the wings.
It doesn't matter which parts I get as either aileron pair fits to either wing.

must be 70's as the instructions are mainly written and there's only 4 picture diagrams for the whole kit and a monochrome colour scheme with colours named and no reference to either airfix or humbrol colours.

Couldn't one knock up an aileron or two from Plasticard?
After all I doubt the original Airfix ones were that accurate.
Just a thought

Might make it more Accurately inaccurate
(What ever 'it' may turn out to be)
The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Ya they should be easy enough to bash up yourself ( but then again, without beer nothing is possible ) but if not I may have a pair.
