In 1965, after the cancellation of the TSR2, Dassault approached BAC with the offer to build Mirage IV bombers, fitted with Spey engines and British avionics.  Although BAC were keen on the idea, the Labour government were intent on having the F-111.......

The Mirage IVS would have had a 2 foot extension in the forward fuselage to compensate for the heavier Speys and it probably would have had the TSR-2s TFR radar.  If this were the case, the IFR would have had to be moved as it originally sat on the end of the nose.

Kit is the Heller 1/48 IVP with the following modifications.

Scale 2 ft extension behind the cockpit

Buccaneer refueling probe

TSR-2 nose cone

ATAR exhausts modified to look a little more like Speys

Cockpit detailed and TSR-2 Mk8 seats fitted

She looks so good in that scheme.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The 'Sauvetage' decal?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

The 'Sauvetage' decal?

Yeap   ;), could get away with adding a British 'Rescue' arrow and have it bilingual like RAF Germany aircraft

Well, tbh, I ran out of "Rescue" ones so used the kit ones till I get some more.  In Whif-world, it's the French's idea of a joke.

Very nice. I like how much the overall look of the aicraft changes through the black radome - I considered converting  Mirage IV into an interceptor some time gao, and this gives a good impression of what it might have looked like. Highly appreciated.  ;D
