If they did made a jet version, why wasn't it in production?

Those resemble the engine pods off of a B-47.

Always liked the jet version, just need a Hasegawa B-47 for the jet pods!

The jet pod was an experimental aircraft, there were only a handful built, no large orders.
A tilt-wing for V/STOL with a third engine at the rear like the Ryan/Hiller tilt planes. The YC-142 is a good example.

How about a U S Coast Guard C-123? Look great in the Dayglo/White scheme. Or, maybe a water bomber?

I have a stack of C-123s to do most of the variants, all the way from the glider to the Allison T56 C-123T. Looks like C-130 nacelles, cowls and props will work for that. Over on SPF there is or was a drawing for a COD C-123, IIRC the 3 view even shows folded wings. The C-123 was one versatile design!

I look forward to seeing your builds.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
