...I am trying to justify the price of a Wingnut Wings Roland to myself and at the moment the sensible part of my brain is winning.

They're nice aren't they.  I have to keep telling myself they are the wrong scale but I dread to think what would happen if I ever actually held a box and my credit card at the same time...
Think of all that rigging.  Go the whole hog and get a Gotha...

That's why I thought of the Roland, not to much rigging, plus I have fond memories of the Airfix kit. Seen one poorly built Gotha (think OGL would have seen it as well) and it's not as big as you think. As for rigging go for a DH 2

Apparently they haven't done a Dr.1 because they consider the Roden one is difficult to beat

I got my show edition of the IPMS magazine today. First time I have ever received it prior to the show. It's normally on the floor when I get home.

Usefull, I can figure out where the dealers I want to visit first are in relation to the stand in advance this year.

Looks like I'll only be there Saturday.  Rubbish modelling year so far with only two builds  :banghead:.  Will still bring a couple of bits for the table though, and it'll be good to catch up with folk.

Yeah, I've only got one finished new build and one underway that may or may not work out (loads of problems). I'll bring whatever fits in my "Telford box" (about 4 little 'uns).

Hobbes

Still assembling two of my models, painting is planned for tomorrow or Monday night

Mossie

I was hoping to bring two, but I'm going to be pushing it to finish just the one. See how it goes.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The Chaos

I bring ja Battelstar Pegasus and a battelstar Hyperion to Telford.

Howard of Effingham

i'm bringing 3 F4U Corsairs for the saturday.....

[drum rolls, etc]

and two special items for the sunday, these two being inspired by the 'listening in' book.

PR19_Kit

I've boxed up half a dozen today, including the Northampton, Lightning PR9 and my older Lightning F8. I've also got 2 x PR19s and a few others as well, just because they were handy.

I DON'T have the Hawker Cyclone though, damn it!  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Got about a zillion things.....

Currently completing a Luftwaffe Flying Saucer in Desert colours, plus 2 Steam powered RAF Flying Saucers with aether screws. I already have a jet-powered RAF Flying Saucer.
Also adding the finishing touches to a medieval Batman with Batwings....
Think I've time to build a 1/35th Afrika Korps figure too.

All good fun. Checking in at the hotel first then sauntering across to create chaos in Hall 2. :tank: :tank: :tank:

bare in mind the two model limit lads.

Ie. No more than two models per member on the stand at a time. the only real exception are those involved with the Hendon 1940 mini theme.

The limit isnt set in stone and can be varied to suit the numbers of people attending each day.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.
