OK, thanks.

I'll bring the 777 and leave it in its 'carriage support' in the car until I see how much room we have.

It went very well indeed, until right at the end...(I'll let Martin tell that one....)

Everybody brought a lot of models, we had plenty of space for them, and there was loads of freindly interest. Max's models went down very well, and he even put his Hurricane in the competition. The show had plenty of stalls and club tables and wasn't too crowded, so you could see some of the truly excellent models on display.

emm yes. The model I had only finished last night and what was the center piece of the display was dropped and damaged by yours truly as we dismantled the display. Thankfully with the combined efforts of myself, weaver and Kit we found all the bits.

Ive already repaired it, but it does need some paint retouching were the repairs have taken place.

Photo of said model below. (before I dropped it!)

I've only just got home.  :banghead:

I got a flat heading down the M5 and the car went sideways at around 65 mph  :o  luckily right by the entrance slip road to Strensham Services, so I slid up the road, righted the car and skidded into the parking lot, much to the amazement of the watching Joe and Jane Publics.  ;D

There was a ruddy great lump of sheet metal swarf stuck in the left rear tyre, and as my car doesn't have a spare (the LPG tank is in the space used by a normal spare) I called the RAC and went to have a munch while he came to rescue me. Amazingly he reckoned that if we yanked out the swarf my puncture repair kit (supplied with the car in place of the spare) would get me home, and it did too! The tyre's probably toast so I'll see about a new one tomorrow.

But the show was great, first time I've been there, and as OGL says there were only five of us, and that included Max.  ;D I thought we put on a quality show between us, and there was LOTS of interest, and very few, if any, JMNs!

I'll post my pics later tonight, watch this space.

Bloody Hell Kit! Glad you're okay! Are you sure the skid wasn't made worse by the weight of the 777?  ;)

I should get a little camera: I can't be bothered lugging my DSLR to shows and I havn't got a suitable lens anyway.

Don't know if everybody heard, but there was a guy shooting video who said that it'll be going up on youttube mid-week: I'll keep an eye out for it.

Long drive home was initially boring but made interesting by the weather conditions......I have to say a massive thank you to OGL, Weaver  and Kit for making Max so welcome and the encouragement he recieved from them during the day.  Thank you. I only took a few pics......Max apparently got a good deal on an Airfix 1/72 Sea Knight....up for £4 but he paid £3.... from I think Collectakit....? I'm sure Kit will correct me if wrong.....he had a chuckle when we told him about it.....
I only took a few photo's and will post them after I've helped SWMBO'D unpack the car.......

You dont do things the easy way do you Kit. ;D
Your trips home from the shows always seem to have more interest than mine LOL

At least you are in one piece.

I found a couple of other pics in my pocket camera. There were very few other Whiffs at the show, just this rather nice Korean War FAA Bearcat and an very well done MPA Airbus A319 that proved impossible to photograph as it was below other stuff on a 3 layer stand.

And just for our Trevor, there was this superbly built Contrail Hastings C2. The guy who built it had done his first paradrop out of that same aircraft.  ;D
