Well sense we talked about the Jet powered mosquito and I am impressed to see a jet powered Whirlwind Aircraft. I was also thinking that we might see other Piston powered WW2 aircraft becoming Jet powered aircraft. What do you say?

Awesome.  :thumbsup:And I'm thinking now we could turn the JU-87 Stuka in to a jet. And the fictional Flying wing plane from Indiana Jones raiders of the lost ark movie into a jet also

Someone here built a jet aircraft using the wings of a Spitfire and the engines from a Meteor and it resembled an A-10. It was impressive.
In addition to just replacing the piston engine with a jet some creative kitbashing yields great results.

The mind BOGGLES at a jet Barracuda!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Yeah they were making a Jet variant of the Fw-190, but that was backed down because we were winning the war. Oh and I love to see a Jet variant of the A6M Zero plane ;D

There's a few ways it could go:
- 2 engines in wings (did someone build that?)
- Engine in tail. Tophe just drew a couple of examples: http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,4461.msg654689.html#msg654689 - or just take FJ-1 as suggested.
- The Yak-15 way with engine low in the nose
