About this time I normally post up a list of stuff that is due out at Telford, but I'm not quite ready yet. Needless to say there will definately be some stuff of interest, I should have around ten new resin sets, two decal sheets and a couple of Pegasus kit re-issues to. All of the resin is for British stuff, some whif and most actually fits on cheap Airfix kits to. As soon as I have a firm plan I will let you know, don't want to get people over excited then crash their hopes and dreams at the last minute.... ;)

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Thanks for the update Colin.

Will you have the Hurricane 20mm cannon sets available at Telford ? They are lovely and I want to do another couple of Hurri's with them, perhaps even the real one  ;D

Looking forward to your releases Colin. Hopeful for something belonging to "The Striking Revelation 2".

I hope Ali's announcement has not affected you too much.

Hi Robert - No Ali's closing has not effected me, he is going to carry on casting my clear stuff so it's work as normal.

I'm expecting two test casts of the Telford whif release on Monday (and it's not the one I think we discussed at Farnborough, that is coming later) one is going straight in the post to Mike McEvoy who has planned its back story already, as its become a tradition that he gets to build it first, going right back to the SR.177's first release back in 2007 I think. So hopefully there will be a finished one of the SIG stand.

Hi Chris - I should have a few Hurricannon sets with me, they might only be under the table as I don't have many left.

It's the 20mm pods that were trialled on a fabric wing Hurricane Mk I and allegedly used in the Battle of Britain. Lovely castings with separate barrels. You also get a pair of resin wheels with the correct number of spokes.

The fit of the pods to the wing is immaculate

In Bob Tuck's book 'Fly for your Life', he mentions he went to a meeting set up by the 'higher-ups' to discuss the adoption of the 20mm cannon, he was all for it but Bader wasn't (he liked his .303's).  It was during the Battle of Britain sometime and some aircraft had 20mm's installed but they were all pre-Hispano ones.  Apparently the 'operational trials' were inconclusive as many of the guns jammed after a couple of shells were fired.  Once the Hispano came on line though, things were different ----

The single trials version had 2 Oerlikon 20mm's. My Hurricane book says it served with 151 Sqd in the BoB

Yes - Oerlikons, I remember now. Tuck apparently flew with these a couple of times and the cannon jammed on him during an attack on both occasions ---

Even the Hispano 20 mm cannon didn't work that well on 19 Sqdn's Spitfire IBs. The original IBs only had the 2 x 20 mm, and no .303s at all and they jammed so frequently that the Sqdn. CO refused to use them and demanded his older OAs back, which Their Airships agreed to.

Later on they turned the Hispanos through 90 deg (IIRC) and changed the feed mechanism and they were fitted to many Mk Vs and above.

There is a write up on L1750's operational use with its 20mm cannon with 151 Sqn here;
