Another two in the stash, courtesy of Alvis! Now, what could possibly be done with two, plus a hacksaw, plus putty, plus swearing...  ;D

What's the sound a French para makes when riding in a Transall? :P

I like the lengthened 4 engined idea. Give the Herc a run. Maybe try and flange up some of those fancy new props too.

Did pretty good as it was, the Tyne had about 80% more horsepower than the T-56, and the payload was 22,000kg, the Herk's is 33,000kg. 4 Tynes should up the ante a fair bit!

How about using the wings and tail off a 1/72 OV-10 Bronco and add them to the fuselage of the 1/220 Transall?  Add the nose of the OV-10 to the fuselage as well.

The hacking is well underway. Both plugs need to come from the forward fuselage, as there's almost zero space between the wing root and the upturn at the rear cargo doors. The calipers are being used to determine if the sections are even all around, still a bit of sanding needed to correct that. Last thing I want is a kinky fuselage, I'll leave that to Radish!  ;D

Coming along nicely, hope it isn't the calm before the storm.  ;D  Fuselage stretch has been done, wing inner sections lengthened, outers cut back a bit because otherwise they looked outlandishly long. The landing gear pods have been lengthened to accommodate another set of wheels, I reasoned that the increased payload would necessitate it.

Eh?

How can you have a wing that looks 'outlandishly long'......?  ;D
