Looking for plastic hemispheres

I'm trying to track down some (preferably cheapish) plastic hemispheric domes.   Must be 40mm in diameter.   I've found some places on the web that sell such "display domes" but they tend not to be truly hemispheric in shape.   They also tend to sell them in wholesale quantities and truth be told, I don't need 10 or more of the things!

Anybody got any ideas?

Try vending machines that sell kids toys: some of those come in plastic spheres that are half-clear. Watch out for moulding/branding marks in the middle though.

Xmas decorations?
We have some spherical ones which split into 2 so you can put photos inside (we call them the "hate baubles" - it's a long story).
These are about 60mm diameter but it's not unfeasible they do them, or something similar, smaller.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I think the reference is to roll on deodorant.

Yeah, where've you been Brian --    'pit-stick' = Underarm Deodorant (as in armpits )    Anyway, some of the ""sticks"" have a large ball stuck in the top end

I could say I'm too manly to use deodorant but the reality is I'm allergic to the aluminium salts they usually use, so I tend to use some "rock salt" stick stuff.   No one in the family uses the roll on stuff.  Will investigate though.

Plastruct.com

Tried them but they only make much bigger ones it seems.

Look under Tubing and Fittings, sizes start at 3/8"(9.5mm) and go up to 6"(152.4mm).

Here (Germany) in Hobby stores you can find clear acrylic glass spheres in various sizes - they consist of two halves and are to be filled with stuff and then used for decoration (have an eyelet on top):

'Craft Hobby' shops in the US as well, however, most don't carry anything smaller than the 60mm.
No idea why not.  :banghead:

In the USA, anything is bigger...?
