Nick

I've been studying the Boeing SST kits and comparing the sizes with Concorde. The SST is 1/200 which is close enough for Concorde 1/144 markings to fit, they might even be undersized.

So does anybody have a spare sheet of Concorde decals? Concordski will do nicely too!
I'll even take a damaged set just to check for fit.

Thanks!

Sure have Nick, more than one in fact.

I'll dig some out and post the various options on here.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

That Braniff one would be a real eye-cathcer...especially on a Concorde !

I've had the Draw Decal BA sheet for the 2707 for some while, and it's excellent, as are all Greg's decals.

Airfix almost put their Concorde out with Braniff decals before the whole thing went TU. There was a guy in the Airliner SIG who had a proof copy of the decal sheet, many years ago now though.

The biggest issue with decals for any SST is the scheme needs to be mostly white, to reflect the heat away from the airframe. But maybe we can rescind the laws of thermodynamics in WhiffWorld......  ;)

I have to admit that Braniff doesn't hold much for me. I'm leaning more to TWA or JAL but definitely a British Airways set.
There's an interesting Braniff Concorde here http://www.braniffpages.com/concorde.html

I might even go for the Pepsi Concorde scheme...  ;D

Sadly BDecals had a bad reputation for not delivering after you pay.

PR19_Kit

Yes, BDecals had a very bad reputation, I'm not sure if they're still going in fact.

The Pepsi Concorde is superb, maybe the best Concorde scheme ever to my mind, and I have a decal for that, but not from BDecal I might add.

Much though I'd like to post pics of the two Concorde decals sheets I have, one Revell and one Airfix, I'm being thwarted at every turn.  :banghead: :banghead:

My usual laptop is in for repair and the backup machine just WON'T recognise an SD card when I plug it in. Neither will it connect direct to the camera via the pukka USB cable designed for the job! When I tried to Google the Net to find the two decal sheets it found ZILLIONS of Revell sheets, but not ONE of them looked like the one I have!  :banghead:

Sorry Nick, I give up until I get my normal machine back sometime tomorrow.

SUCCESS!   ;D

I've managed to beat my backup laptop into submission and it's reading my camera files alright now.

Here's the two Concorde decal sheets I have Nick, you're welcome to either one. The Revell one is at the top and the Airfix one beneath.  The Revell sheet may need a little 'sun exposure' to minimise the slight yellowing, but otherwise they're both in good shape.
