It's to keep the airflow from defecting.

An aerodynamic version of the Berlin Wall? They're about the same height.....
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Another set of fences on the SU-105/F-22.

I don't need a mechanic, I need to hire a cowboy to ride these fences!

I tried out the Perfect Plastic Putty I picked up yesterday.

Sands easily and easy to work with. I cut off the tip on the nozzle supplied as small as possible. This allowed me to lay in a small amount at the joint between fin and body of the spaceship. I smoothed it with my finger tip in to a nice fillet. I think if I had used a wet cloth or Q tip I could have cleaned this up better. As it was, there was very little sanding required. I had to order it from a Hobbytown store. You can get it on line but the shipping doubles the price. It was a good excuse to hit the hobby store. This doesn't replace all the filling materials I have but its a great addition to the tool box.

There are reviews of this product on the web. A quick search will show several. All positive.

I swear I did the same thing as last time but it didn't work right. Let me try again.

Well, it looks like I fixed the photos. I just need to paste the BBCode line and not use the "insert image" button above.

Always a good idea to use the "Preview" option when you are writing your posts as a general rule for anyone posting pictures in their messages.

This will allow you to see if the picture is showing or not before you actually make your post.

There....that's a lot easier to see !

The new fences look good, and I can see the web .url on the putty. Thanks!

It was late and I didn't feel like messing with it any more.

I had to order it from the Hobbytown store. Websites had it but the shipping was too much. I also filled a seam at the wing root of the F-105 by applying the PPP with the applicator and smoothing it with my finger. A little sanding was all it took.

Some very interesting work... you've gone and gotten the gears turning in my own mind about an alternative concept to doing an Su-22 with side intakes like that... I'm thinking Mirage, personally...

Keep up the beautiful work, looking forward to seeing more of your progress.

Here's the pic someone photoshopped of a two seat Fitter with a radome and side intakes.

Is this close to what you are thinking of? I have a two seat SU-22 kit in the stash that might evolve into this.

Dizzifugu actually built that a short time later on, or a very close facsimile, here :-

Did a little work on the F-101. I think the LEXs look much better now.

I had to prime with dark ghost grey as my light ghost grey gave up the ghost. another good reason to go to the hobby shop.
