That, plus realizing that there are other people with the same interests and that there's nothing wrong with going behind other peoples club stands to talk to them.  ;) ;D ;D

I had some long chats with them Saturday and Sunday. Nice people  I'm still worried about the purple though

The Purple was decided during a chat with Deborah, our club sec.  ;D

Ah! I understand. It is "Fifty Shades of Purple"

Chat with, or listen to ?  ;D ;D

You do realise that back in ancient times if you as a pleb wore purple you probably got your head chopped off ! Reserved for the Imperial classes.

I prefer a delicate shade of violet/lilac myself  ;D

When you read about it, it's suprising how many Eunuchs fathered kids ! many of the more famous dynasties in the ancient world could trace their ancestry back to one

And of course Narses was both an Imperial General and eunuch but I'm Narses2 so that bit about dynasties must be true  ;D

at the risk of thread drift and this one is several degrees off track, I would like to say as I said of the folk at Bolton that the company was excellent.

I think that the plebeian aediles were entitled to white with  a purple stripe, but I'll have to look that up to be sure.
