This Iskra model is in at Hannants. I dare say it's the same less-that-stellar mould tool that seems to circulate forever amongst Polish kit companies, but for £4, you can hardly complain:

I did one a few years ago: http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,22789.0/highlight,iskra.html

Frank2056 did one too: http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,23862.0.html

The kit's one of those horrors that look lovely and inviting in the box but are an absolute pig to actually build. Still itf you want a 1/72nd Iskra it's the only game in town, and there are even resin and PE aftermarket bits for it.

I slashed one for a Ta 183 conversion... Was the ModelMaster incarnation, though, and I have tow more of them left in the stack.
Already considered a single seater OOB build (it's optional) and add WWII Luftwaffe markings!

Before you start on a single-seater, check whether the canopy actually fits at the corners. On mine the canopy corners were rounded, but the frame corners were straight lines, thus leaving triangular gaps between the two  :banghead: . If you spot this before you start assembling it, you could, in theory, fit tiny fillets of plastic to the frame cormers and then sand them to match the canopy once they're dry. I couldn't do this because I didn't spot the problem until after it was built and a rear fuel tank was in the way.

Go check out my build thread for some up close and horrible pics......

Actually, I don't expect ANYTHING to fit.  ;) Even the so-called "clear" parts are blurry, so building the Iskra OOB is almost like a kit-bash in itself!

It would be the Frog/Novo Lynx, reboxed.  You might get the Sea Skuas but I really have no idea.

Its a newish Polish tooling of the lynx and a pretty poor one at that, it only has Torpedoes.

If you want a decent Lynx 8 in 72nd, get the HobbyBoss Lynx HMA-8, however despite the box art it DOES NOT have Sea Skua. For some stupid reason only the West German version has the Sea Skua rails and a pair of Sea Skua's. To do a loaded HMA 8 or the earlier HAS 3 (if going Gulf War) or HAS2 (Falklands) get the respective HobbyBoss kits, rob the launch rack from the West German Lynx and rob the Sea Skua from one of the later Revell West German Sea Kings, as they can be built as an RN version and you get four matching Skua with their rail adaptor to fit on the hobbyboss frame.

Hope that helps.

There's a pair of Sea Skuas in the 1:72 NATO weapon set from Italeri - but these are hard to hunt down these days.

Don't bother the best way is the Revell Mk 41 Sea King with skua's as it also gives you the mounting brackets which are not in the Weapons set

Isn't there a EuroLaw about showing things on box art that AREN'T in the box?

I recall Revell falling foul of that some years ago when they sold their positively ANCIENT DC9 kit with box art showing an MD80, and they had withdraw the kits from sale.
