This one is not what-if, its the 1/32 scale Hasegawa Fw 190D-9 in the markings of ''red 18'' of I./EKG(j), if anybody has the second volume of Jerry Crandall's Dora book there is some excellent coverage of this aircraft in it and I used that information to help me paint this model.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Thank you Fred,
This one is real world but the next four aircraft models will be what-if. ;D

And you expected anything less from Martix??

Seriously Martrix, this as spectacular as everything else you've presented here. And, despite loving Wiffs, it's good to see an aircraft who's history can be traced. Dam fine work mon ami...

I just like to see well built models presented on a forum where no-one gets excited because they perceive a wrongness.

Thanks very much guys!

There are a few things wrong with the Hasegawa D-9 kit but the overall look of the finished kit is fine.

When I build a real world model with specific markings and if it is recognizable from the photographs of the real thing I am happy with it, missing panel lines or some shape errors in a kit is not THAT important to me...but than again I don't enter model contests either. ;)
