The auto shows will be starting up soon. Check them out. At the Chicago show there were displays of military machines for the last few years. I got to check out the interior of a Stryker a couple years ago.

@Dizzyfugu:  Nice idea, but I do not want to use any sort of tracked vehicle. I want a wheeled AFV only.

As far as rebuilding the interior to look more like a camper, would any doll house accessories (Bed, plates, stove, etc., etc.) come close to 1/35 scale or would they be too large?
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

DING DING DING! I HAVE AN ANSWER!
I have a friend who attends all kinds of model shows in England and he knows of companies that build all kinds of household furnishings in a lot of scales. Let me get with him and ask for some addresses.

Runway ? ...

The Stryker mortar version has an opening top.

That just screams VW Bus style roof conversion to me.

The mortar, command or ambulance versions will give more space. With the squared off tops it would be easier to enlarge one with sheet plastic.

Captain Canada

I'd guess Stryker. It's bigger to start with. There's also scale-o-rama

Thanks for the answers lads, it just didn't look right to me
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

VW bus style roof conversion? Uhh.....I don't know?  Lemme think about it. But for now, I just finished buying a Trumpeter 1/35 Stryker M1133 Ambulance online tonight. Should recieve it sometime next week.

The 1/25 AMT '65 Chevy El Camino had in some releases (including the latest one) a woefully underheight camper body included with it.  I haven't measured the one I have but it would probably be about the right height for 1/35.

As for furniture etc look for diorama stuff rather than dolls house bits.  When I started scratching my 1/25 Winnebago I looked into dolls house suppliers for a toilet and kitchen sink and soon realised that most of what is supplied for that market is badly moulded crap that only vaguely resembles what it is supposed to be.  There may be dolls house suppliers who make quality items but I didn't find them.
Scale Modelling by Chris http://www.scalemodelingbychris.com do some very nice goodies in 1/25 bu that won't be much help if you just bought your Stryker.
Feeling rich?  then go here http://www.kitformservices.com/standard.html and buy one of these for 220 pounds and then you can use Chris's 1/25 bits & pieces...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
