Matchbox sized "Bubble Cars" are quite common

A mate had one when we were at school as it could be driven on a m/c license if the reverse gear was disabled. He had the Messerschmitt one which was tandem seating. Used to pretend I was the rear gunner on way to school 

I've often wondered about the stories of people driving Heinkle's into their garage right up to the wall and not being able to get out ? How many skeletons are still trapped in cars all over the country
