Last gasp.........she turned out to be a T-28 called the Saint Bernard or " Bernie"  ( when fitted with the Bernie barrel first aid and rescue container )used for search and rescue in the hard to get to out of the way places of Canada.

When not so fitted ,a range(gunnery) controller for military hard to get to out of the way places. Target tug.....and civilian fire fighting controller.  

Previously used as a FAC for the Brighouse and District  crown green bowling league .

 I doubt this will finish, cracked canopy and lack of a spare.

It was to be a "what if the Argentinians swapped beef for flying things",only to be over taken by rumours of other wingy thingies being traded. I hadnt a clue what the missile fit would have been anyway.
