They are releasing a kit of one of Yamato's main gun turrets. Just wondering who will be the first to mount it on tracks ?

Japanese Ratte eh?

Yup and it might have actually proved more useful then what they actually did do with them.

Thinking about it a cutaway version showing all the innards would look fantastic and if you then scratch built all the below decks gubbins associated with it then you'd probably have "best of show" at Telford 2021.

I bet someone somewhere is already looking at a cutaway version.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Remote control.

I recall reading ages ago in, I think FSM, of a dentist in the South building a 1/48th scale Cleveland IIRC to run around in the pond in his backyard.  Also built a beaching trolley for it out of PVC.

What a fascinating place! A 'Concrete Battleship' indeed.   :o

Somewhere off southern Kyushu and it would probably have been a better use for them. Certainly harder to "sink" than where they actually were mounted.
