"Accidently" won a Matchbox (ex PM Model) Horten IX/Go 229 on ebay for less than EUR 3,-.
Unexpected, and I am rather after the wings as donation parts than the aircraft itself.

Yeap we found they were rather handy for combining with a Hunter to make the supersonic P1183, before Freightdog produced the resin conversion

The Wooksta!

You don't need the resin jetpipe either - the original version was to have had a Sapphire, so I'm toying with that as a shortcut to get it to flight first.  Suez markings?

Actually, you'd still need a smaller jetpipe.  Oops.  Unless it's a later big bore Sapphire or re engined with the big bore Avon.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

JayBee

Just got back from Edinburgh where Mrs. JayBee and I had some family business. I did make time to visit Wonderland and came home with an Airfix Swift. They had quite a number of them on the shelf, and on display in the window.

Minicraft 1/144 B-1A arrived from the US via Ebay, bought only with whif in mind, got 3 ideas, two in the kit's original scale, either a PoAF B-1A or turn this into the B-1R, the other in 1/72, still have to choose between a fighter or attack plane, and between a single or twin seat variant... it's just a matter of sketching up the various ideas and see which looks best to my eyes... Maybe i should've bought two kits... or three...

Nice, I look forward to seeing that.

Thanks Rick - I'm guessing you know exactly what I mean! Always wanted a model of her with those bright red engines!

Yup - Got some shots of her back in the day... had sort-of-plans to do one, but not so much now.
