Lee - you didn't merely add to your stash at Telford, you bought a small model shop!

Nick - 16eme Escadron has been going for a while, I popped in once about 10 years ago when living in Belgium.  I got my Pembroke from the much missed ED Models though.  Nice kit, still in the stash; I don't think the company released any other kits.

And the Avia C2 was the post war designation for the Arado Ar96, which was built in Czechoslovakia during the war. Design predates WW2 so some scope for backdating.

Oh, and Lee, where did you find the FROG and Kellogs Comets?

The Wooksta!

The Kellogs ones were in the kitswap - there were three, but I missed one.  TsrJoe snaffled one of them then I found another on the Collectakit stand which I sold to me mate Gary, who's bang into the Comet.

The Novo one was in a box of bagged kits, either on the Kit Rescue stand or the jumble sale at the end of our aisle.  They had the Matchbox Lightning T55 I passed to Martin.

As for the KP Avia - it has some characteristics that are very specific to post war Czech ones.

A Novo 1/72 Gloster Javelin F.A.W.9/9R. That's a SERIOUSLY heavy box for a model this size! Massive sprues. And yes, I did just spend a few minutes peeling flash from the parts. Good thing it's just whif fodder!!

From the same auction site I also got a vacuum-former. I think it's home made but it should be a handy thing to have.

Right it's taken me 2 days to get down to putting my Telford haul down in writing after a very tiring journey home on Monday and I was absolutely cream crackered yesterday so here we are.

As far as kits are concerned I was like Kit in that I bought nowt. I almost got in a panic over this on Sunday and very nearly bought something, just because  :banghead: Anyway I held strong and didn't. The reason ? There was nothing I really wanted plus its a lot easier to get stuff on-line rather than struggle home with it on various trains.

However I did get some bits and pieces tool, paint, glue and filler wise.

Got the new US Secret projects book and went to the "lecture" which was enjoyable. Got the Airfix Yearbook.

From Colin I got his new resin RAF smoke dispensers for review. They are lovely bits of casting and I'm going to use them as poison gas dispensers on an RAF BoB build. In real life they were converted and ready to be used and a recent SAM had a fantastic item on them.

Some Alley Cat resin ASR canisters.

Some Yahu instrument panels.

Some thin Tamiya masking tape for curves.

A really small cutting mat and knife set (knives normal size  ;D) Be useful for transfers.

A long chat with the lady on the Craftlights stand. I'll be going to Model Engineering Ex in Jan and buying one. Very good deal at shows.

Finally from Dave (Kitbasher) and envelope of Airfix Flying Hours. The deal is that I wiff the kit I get with the twist that at each major stage I come up with 2/3 options and they are put up for voting here on site. I build the winning option. I need to think about this very carefully knowing you lot and I will be consulting my legal team before hand.  ;D

Purchased because it includes markings for a gun captured at Vimy Ridge by the Canadians, the 27th Battalion 'City of Winnipeg'.
My namesake, Pvt. Jon Benjaminson of Lundar, Manitoba, 78th Battalion 'Winnipeg Grenadiers' died at Vimy April 9th, 1917.
He was 19. So I'll be building it out of the box in the captured markings.

Strange world. For years I had been hunting a Monogram YF-19 kit, and some weeks ago got one at a reasonable price from the USA.
Now I stumbled across another one, even from Germany, places a minimum bid (EUR 7,-) and won it?
Now I have two of them, which opens more whiffing potential - maybe a all-grey USN version with a hook and a USAF version in a simple Egyptian One scheme?
