No kits as such at the London Model Show yesterday but a set of Polish 1939 paints by Hataka. I've got a couple of real life Polish builds + a couple of whiffs planned so these will be

Plus after a lot of humming and ahhhing over the last few months I finally bit the bullet and bought a daylight lamp with built in magnifier.

I don't think that you will regret that purchase, once you get used to working while looking through the magnifier if you don't do that already

Yup I tried it out this morning and it was fantastic. I've been using head band magnifiers and will continue to use the low magnification for "broader" work and the lamp for detail work

Tamiya 1/100 A-4E Skyhawk. I was going to clone it but it's a bit big for my plan, but I'll do something with it. Interestingly it has (fictitious? Don't recognise the scheme) Royal Australian Navy decals as well as USN...

Birthday present from my Dad - both Airfix 1/72.  A Beaufighter TF X and a Messerschmitt Bf 109 G 6.
Alas, he seems to have been palmed off with one of the old Beaufighters but I don't have the heart to point out to him that there is a nice new one available now.
Not to worry, it'll look good with turboprops and anti ship missiles...

Thanks to Weaver and Airfix's Black Friday sale:

The Mauretania will be converted to her sister Lusitania (always had a soft spot for it) while the Gnat will be whiffed...and soon! Even with postage from the UK these two still cost me less than my Airfix Lancaster did.

Directly from Russia: a Zvezda 1:72 "Black Ghost" stealth helicopter arrived after several weeks, and two (unrelated) sets of decals (L-39 from PrintScale and MiG-25 from Begemot) from Latvia.

Again, cheap and available ;-) I have a few options to choose from, it will be an in-service machine.

Preparing for the Cold War today I got from Metro Hobbies in Melbourne CBD.
1/72 Special Hobby Hunting Percival Pembroke

1/72 ICM ATZ-5-375 Fuel Bowser

The Pembroke looks pretty good detail wise with a full complement of seats, single or dual controls and solid or glass nose.  Nice long wings too.
The ATZ truck seems to be a marvellous piece of model engineering with a very nice looking one piece cab and vinyl tyres.  If it goes together as well as it looks it'll be a sweet build.

I saw some really nice 1/72 armour at the recent London Model Show particularly some Hungarian Turan tanks. Was seriously tempte, ask Nick, but shied away because of the thought of all those fiddly wheels  May still go for it in the new year.

Thought the kits were 1/48 to start with ; huge boxes
