Picked up another Revell TA154/FW190 Mistel kit at Romford The Works for a penny under £20 with a free receipt. There's a few cheaper out there but its nice to buy in a shop for once ;D. I have a few TA154 conversions planned....

They've got 1/144 TU95s if anyone's interested (£9.99).

After letting my brother raid my stash, I've finally been able to bolster my defenses by the purchase today of an Italeri Wessex. HAS.3. Ok, I may have two or even three now.....but you know the drill

Check the plastic, as if it's one of the more recent (ie 2000 onwards) boxings with the black plastic, the fuselage is likely to be warped to hell.  Silver plastic, you should be okay.  The boxing is the best guide - black with artwork and the phototop Heller/Humbrol or plain Humbrol boxings are fine, but the more recent boxings are a lottery.

It's a silver one! Thanks a lot for the tip.

Just keep checking the fit.  Best advice I can give.  The fuselage warps somewhere aft of the cockpit and the tailplanes just won't line up square.

It's not something that bothers me, because I just use the black toolings as parts donors for the Aeroclub or Airfix Griffon fuselages.

Not a kit, rather diorama prints from Noy's Miniatures from Israel: a double set with RAF style concrete airfield cardboards.

I stopped at that hobby shop in Kitchener and alas, no new Airfix ! I hate to mail order it as it's so cheap without postage. Oh well, hopefully they sort this crap out soon !

IMHO they are very good; I bought used several of them for my beauty pics. These are simple cardboard (300g/m², I guess) printouts, no surface structure. But they are actually taken from dioramas and scaled to size, and they don't have that clean model railroad look. You can make a lot of them with some more effort, like adding grass/brushes or adding tar fillings between concrete plates with thick black paint. I glue them onto a piece of MDF wood, and that's a very good photography basis. I also gave one away to a friend and he uses the pure print on a cabinet floor for display. Works really well, when you focus on the model. And Noy is a nice person/seller, too.

Ideas, ideas...

Got a Hasegawa M24 Chaffee tank in 1:72 in order to re-create a teenage kitbash, and a Revell Saab J29 (2008 re-boxing of the Matchbox kit) for the pile.

zenrat

Are you kitbashing the Saab with the tank?  :o ;D ;)

I got, from a NSLHS I investigated thisarvo while I was in the area, a Hasegawa 1/72 JASDF Weapons set.  Because you can never have enough anti ship missiles.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
