I pulled out the issues of AMW with (test shot) builds of both Blenheims and re-read them last night.
Both reviews list fit issues and both say they were mostly fixable with slight trimming and sanding and in one case a small amount of filler.

I re-read them last night as well and the review build of the Mk I sums up my views on the kit perfectly. Not built the IV yet so can't comment.

Summary on the Mk I basically says it is an excellent kit which needs you to pay attention during the build and will need a little scrapping and sanding to ensure a good fit.

The paying attention bit is apt on all/most of the new tool Airfix kits. They do not necessarily go together the way we expect them to. You have to read the instructions

Be interested in your views when you've built her Zenrat. Just to make sure I'm not wearing the rose tinted specs.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Arrived today from racers haven ebay shop, Testors/Italeri 1:72 F-19 Stealth fighter! Actually its the 2nd kit i bought cause the first got lost in the mail... As most of you know, this is a whif as it is but i'm thinking of a few modifications concerning the wings...

Received today directly from OzMods - Resin C-130J Nacelle correction set, exhaust pipes and assembly jig.  This contains 4 nacelles and props.  Two to be grafted onto a Catalina and two fir the parts box.

It might be a bit of a wait but i'll be sure to let everyone know my opinion.
Any issues with the similarly new Mk1 Hurricane i'll put in the blog thread.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I doubt you'll have too many issues with the Hurricane Fred, it's darn nearly perfect. The only consistent problem U've had with them, and I'm on my third by now, is that the trailing edge of the wing, where it passes under the fuselage, is a tad too long and fouls the rear fuselage underside piece, and that's for either of the two options.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Thanks Kit.  Wing seems to fit OK so far.

Despite disparaging comments from a pair of our senior   members at Southern Expo last Saturday, my handwriting isn't that bad after all.
I've just had a phone call from the show treasurer informing me I have won a small prize of some description....

No idea what it is but watch this space!

The show treasurer obviously went to the same school as you ! Only possible way he could decipher it. Some of those numbers were indecipherable  ;D

Exotic... a pair of vintage Airfix G.91 R-1s for/from Japan (with Japanese instructions!).
Got a plan for one, the other is for the stash and was part of a combo.

Just got back from my local Lidl with these two kits.

Seriously impressed with both kits and decal sheets.

Revell's airliners have been the class of the field for some years now, their Airbuses being particularly good, with the possible exception of the A310 which is of a much earlier generation. It's still good though, and it's the ONLY 1/144 A310 out there.

IIRC their current decals are printed by Cartograph and are quite superb.

It's their criticism of the tight fit between the pins/holes that get me.

What?  :banghead:
Fer all that's holy I generally remove moulded on alignment pins on fuselage/nacelle/drop tank/bomb/engine block
halves, as many times they actually interfere with proper alignment, regardless of the age of the kit, and usually
aren't actually necessary. Cutting the bloody pins off also enables a good flattening sanding of the mating surfaces which
in turn usually eliminates any need for filler, putty, etc.

Wing to fuselage etc., joints being a different matter.
