from Cosford today,
a Tamiya 1:48  a-10   itll be RAF,
and for the pricly sum of £25 another Aifix op Herrick patrol and support group (  Lynx, Landy and 8 troops)

Damn i forgot to mention it but MrModels had the new Airfix 1/48th RAF BoB ground crew which might be handy for conversion for you  :banghead:

From Cosford

Airfix Vangaurd & MPA conversion in 1/144 from S&M models
Airfix C-130 Hercules (off Mel @ S&M)
Airfix Canberra B-8 (for Philip if he still needs one)
Various Decals from ModelArt and Paul Parkes
and that was it for Buys.

Took two boxes of models for sale and got rid of 60% so less stash and more cash despite some buying to counter both

A good show and a decent run back, thankfully was in the hanger waiting for thr others to return when the rain squal hit for about 10 minutes

Thorvic, no probs, I can get it if I have a hankering to do so.
Alas I got caught in the rain there, and then again when I got home,
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

Only two buys from Cosford

Both 1/72nd scale.
Monogram B-52D. Required for a real world project.
ESCI C-130K. transfered from Thorvic's stash to mine.

Im also baby sitting an Academy KB-29 from Geoff for one of the Scots lads. To handed over at Perth in a few weeks.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

The two not-Airfix bags are a Kiwi Resins B.170 Mk.31 conversion kit (wheels, nose and fin+rudder) and OldModels Decals markings for SAFE Air. The ultimate goal will be this baby:

ZK-CPT, former gate guard for the Marlborough Aero Club and - from mid-2008 - the world's only "live" Bristol Freighter. She starts, she runs, she taxis...she's a sight and sound to behold!

Relatively cheap day today at Cosford, but some good end-of-the-show bargains:

Part-started Hobbycraft 1/72nd Avro CF-100 Mk.V : still perfectly buildable
Part-started Revell 1/72nd F-89 D/J Scorpion : still perfectly buildable, but mainly a cheap weapons donor for the Canuck (Genies...)

2 x Hobbyboss 1/72nd N/AW A-10A Thunderbolt II : ridiculously cheap, one to be RAF
1 x Hobbyboss 1/72nd A-10A Thunderbolt II : ridiculously cheap, to be RAF

From Thorvic : British Experimental Jet Aircraft by Barry Highgate (thanks again Geoff!)

And apologies again for my prat-of-the-day award!

(He helped me carry boxes to my car, in the rain, only to find when we got there that I'd left my keys on the stand, and he went back to get them for me (because he could squeeze through the fence better than me)....)

Arrived back from our road trip to find two boxes sitting by the front door.
Mrs z's birthday present - Bandai 1/350 Mechagodzilla from Evil-Bay.
And a couple from Modelnerds for me.  Both 1/72 - A Dragon Mig 15 and a Hobbycraft Su 22U Fitter E.  Both will probably be finished fairly stockish in PDRV Republican Guard colours.

And today as I was driving close to the LHS it seemed rude not to pop in to see if they had a 1/72 Mig 21.
They didn't, but they did have a Super Model 1/72 Cant Z-1007 bis Alcione Bideriva so I now have yet another WW2 Italian bomber added to the stash.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

From Cosford, purchased a very cheap ex-Frog Fairey Gannet....missing it's rear canopy. No problem....I'll cut out the fuselage and add a rear gunner.
Possibly a ground attack aircraft on Mars....

Also, Dwarf One won a couple of kits on the tombola...a Tamiya 1/48 Sea Harrier, and a Dragon 1/6 German Bicycle with twin Panzerfaust. She's donated them to me..bless.

I don't know but I somehow get the feeling that those two may end part of the same build

Seriously a nice little proxy win for Grandpa
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
