Best off just using the canopy and use everything else from the Airfix T.11.  IIRC, it was geared to go with the old Frog Vampire FB5, which shows just how old it is.

The tail fins are the same as the Fighter version or I would be using a T11 as a basis Lee

Received today off eBay

1/72 Airfix Lockheed Hercules (their oroginal kit)

Some bits missing but replaced by spares from AC-130 from the looks of it. May be Parts donor or might even build it if its OK

What are you doing with the Bloodhound missile that comes with it?

Gondor

Moulded in a sand/tan colour?  I glue bombed one of them as a kid.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

A couple more bits I picked up in Scotland -

Cheap in a charity shop, a Revell 1/24 Volkswagen T1 "Samba Bus" camper van

From Jamison's closing sale:
Italeri 1/72 F/A-18E Super Hornet
Airfix display stands for a few wheels-up planes I'm doing.

From The Galeria Kaufhof in Leipzig (its a kind of German Marks and Spencer)
A Revell (Matchbox) Supermarine Stranraer. Its one I always meant to buy when I was a Kid
but there was always something else that caught my eye (that and its a Bi-plane )
And a Eurocopter NH90 "Navy" which I thought the RAF might like to replace their Sea Kings with.
It will look good in all over Golden Yellow?
Both were less than half price, the NH90 substantially so.

Keith
The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

The fins are not quite the same - a bit taller and pointier.  But only by a small margin.

He means Skyfox

Lost something in the translation maybe?  ;D

No not really. It is more likely a slight synaptic failure. Possibly caused by the couple of doses of fermented, red, muscle relaxant that I had after the drive to and from Perth. The return trip being partly through some really heavy hail showers.

you should perhaps stick to truth serum jim! but I see your point.

So what sort of rotor system are you going to put on it?  ;)

Not a bad kit either for its time, could be fun doing a captured one and rearm it with Bitish weapons (Coastal Craft do a nice selection)  or you could whiff it in German Service with the Splinter camo and upgunning or even post war use

I was just looking at this Fujimi set and thinking that's a good way to arm a small craft:

You could claim the Nebelwerfer as an ASW rocket launcher.

Another approach would be to get a Wirbelwind and an Ostwind: that way you have a 37mm and a quad 20mm, both in naval-looking open turrets.

Thorvic.....some great ideas there....I had in mind an early missile boat with some surplus rocket/glider bombs from an Fw200 kit....Henschel weapons I think...problem be guiding them from the ship, I guess range be very limited. I had thought of towing one of those contraptions the U-boars had for looking at/over the horizon....give it a bit more range or at least keep the boat out of small/medium calibre gun range......or have something like a sea plane to guide them/spot...don't know really as ships ain't my strong point. A launcher rail n blast plate so they fire slightly out or a  rotating rail like a sea plane uses from a battleship..? I undwrtand reloading the rail on a bucking ship may not be easy but I don't think multiple rails is viable....
Weaver....great little set....how much is that.....?

£12-£15 new, but I think it might be OOP at the moment. Quite common and cheaper on Ebay of course.
